The idea of a Blue Lake Bike Party with a cyclocross race in the dead of winter had been brewing for a while before a handful of Blue Lakers made the decision to move forward with it. It was a benefit for The Friends of the Annie and Mary Rail Trail. The inaugural Mad Scramble Bike Party in February 2019 was a fun and successful endeavor and a repeat in 2020 seemed like a no-brainer. With a break for COVID-19 in 2021 we returned in 2022 and 2023. After another break, we are back. The Mad Scrambling will commence at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 28, 2026.

This year the proceeds from the event are for the construction of the Blue Lake bike park.

We look forward to many more years of bike parties in Blue Lake.

Registration for 30 & 60 minute races is online for $40 until 6 p.m. February 27
